This week’s featured business is Party Sensations,
a theme party business.

Owner – Kara Manza
Party Sensations officially began in November 2003 and has
never stopped expanding their services. Kara’s love for children
and excellent organizational skills as a former teacher served
her well when she hosted unique parties for her two daughters,
now teenagers. What began as a hobby grew into a successful
business.
Kara holds a Masters degree in Education from Michigan State
and a BA in Early Childhood Development from the University
of Michigan. Kara feels that these degrees have been critical
in creating parties that are appropriate for the interests and
abilities of all children. “I believe the overwhelming success
of Party Sensations is due to our highest quality of products;
the understanding of children’s developmental stages and interests;
and time spent to individualize every party,” said Kara.
Party Sensations has been featured at
Nordstrom’s and is partnered with the Studio
Movie Grill. The most recent exciting development
is being highlighted on Martha Stewart’s website! Clients include
the Dallas Cowboys, presidents of corporations headquartered
in the Dallas area and clients from 7 states.
Don’t let that client list intimidate you - their prices are
extremely reasonable! For example, a client can have a Dress
Up Princess
Party for 8 guests, including costumes and accessories,
games, elaborate table decorations and a personalized itinerary
for $120! Themes range from Barbie to Winnie the Pooh to Super
Heroes. “We have hosted parties for 4 to 40 guests. Every client’s
selections are based on his or her individual needs and every
party is customized,” Kara tells me.
Your Party Package includes theme costumes and a multitude
of accessories for eight children; elaborate table decorations
including theme centerpiece, placemats, fabric tablecloth; and
games with simple directions and elaborate supplies. You could
also surprise the birthday child by selecting a party with entertainment
from two teenagers
dressed as princesses, Ariel, Jasmine, Snow White, Dora the
Explorer and many more.
The aides will
help your guests dress in their costumes; lead all the games
and crafts for your chosen theme; apply make-up and nail stickers;
sing “Happy Birthday,” provide wonderful photo opportunities
and help your guests change back into their clothes at the end
of the party! They will also bring a wrapped Sandylion sticker
box with over 400 stickers and an album for the Birthday child
and treats for all your guests!
Additional services include scrapbook
pages to help preserve the memories of this wonderful
event and cakes, balloons and invitations
customized to your party theme. When a theme package is not
needed, supplies
such as Disco balls, karaoke machines, princess wands and much
more can be purchased.
Party Sensations will also mail crafts, favors,
scrapbooks
and complimentary party planning to clients in other states
and distant communities. If crafts and favors are ordered, they
provide complimentary party planning!
